This Seminar will start on Tuesday 17.10.2017 from 12:00 to 14:00 (cum tempore) in H 3013 (Hauptgebäude) and will run until 13.02.2017.
In this seminar, we are going to reflect the phenomena of conspiracy theories and misinformation. And their relation to the Internet. Not only will we study recent scientific research concerning this subject, we will also struggle our way through critical assessments. This course will, therefore, be combining academic resources from psychology, sociology, media theory and philosophy (presented under the guise of the new discipline called „Internet Studies“).
Students will be asked to keep a blog, read the texts, participate in the debate and finish this course with a group presentation. There is also the option to write an essay. All formal conditions will be explained during the first meeting on 17.10.2017, 12:00 in H 3013.
